How we research and price grinders

Every recommendation rests on published evidence: maker specs, expert reviews with measurements, and long-term owner reports. We cross-check them, cite every claim, and price each grinder delivered to your country.

Method ratings

A method counts as "yes" when the grinder handles it well, and "limited" when it works but is not the grinder's strength, for example coarse steps or an upgrade needed. Ratings come from the maker and from owner reports.

Prices

Prices are in euros including VAT. Cross-border EU shops charge the buyer's own VAT, so we convert a price quoted with another country's VAT to the VAT of the country you ship to. The delivered price is that price plus the shop's shipping, plus a per-kilo charge where the shop has one, minus shipping that is free above a threshold. Where we do not know a grinder's weight, the page says shipping also depends on weight. A dash in the price table means the shop does not sell or ship there.

How a review is built

Each review brings together expert reviews, their measurements and long-term owner reports. We keep what several sources agree on, flag where they disagree, and number every claim so you can check the source yourself. Reviews are written by Gytis, a home brewer in Vilnius.

Shop links

Buttons to shops go through our own redirect pages so that we can add affiliate tracking. We may earn a commission from them. It never changes what we recommend, and the button shows the delivered price, not a teaser.

Refresh

Prices were last checked on 2026-10-20. We refresh them regularly and stamp every page with the date. Unknown facts are left blank, never guessed.

Money

Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a small commission at no cost to you, and it never changes the ranking. We never invent reviews, ratings or user counts.
