Wilfa Svart Uniform review (2026)
Wilfa Svart Uniform is a electric grinder that suits Moka pot, AeroPress, Pour-over, French press and Cold brew. No EU shop price found yet.
Reviewers like the sweet, even cup, the quiet running and the long warranty. It is slow, and the espresso steps are too big for fine dial-in. Newer rivals are faster.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Coffee Chronicler says it makes tasty, sweet, balanced coffee with easy, clicky adjustment.
- Home Grounds calls the grounds very consistent for filter brewing.
- CoffeeGeek calls it possibly one of the quietest grinders it has used.
- An auto shut-off sensor stops the motor after grinding, so you do not have to wait.
- Wilfa gives a 5-year household warranty on products bought after 1 September 2020.
Cons
- All three reviewers call it slow.
- Steps are too coarse for fine espresso tuning.
- Home Grounds notes it is tall for a single-dose grinder, which can be tight under cupboards.
- Coffee Chronicler says newer rivals such as the Fellow Ode Gen 2 and DF54 or DF64 are generally better choices.
What owners report
- Slow on purpose. Coffee Chronicler says Wilfa and Tim Wendelboe made it slow to avoid heating the grounds. CoffeeGeek disagrees and thinks it could be much faster.
- Stray beans at the end. CoffeeGeek says it sometimes shut off with a few beans still ungrounded, so he pressed the button again.
- Espresso is possible, with limits. Coffee Chronicler found settings 4 to 5 gave excellent shots and setting 3 choked the portafilter. It suits occasional espresso or manual machines.
What experts measured
- CoffeeGeek measured 78.5 dB with the lid on, about 0.8 g per second, and 1 to 2 g of retention that a lid flap clears. Its test unit was the North American model.
- Home Grounds timed 15 g of dense light roast at 26 s on setting 40, 28 s on setting 20 and 55 s on setting 2.
- Coffee Chronicler timed 26 g at 40 seconds on pour-over setting 28.
